Last weekend our family visited Stoney Ridge Farm, our favorite pumpkin patch. It’s located in Everson, about a half hour from our home in Bellingham, and no Halloween would be complete without it. Let’s just call it tradition.
If you’ve never visited Stoney Ridge Farm, let me tell you that this place is hands down one of the best choices for pumpkin perusing around. If there were anyplace Linus would have witnessed the Great Pumpkin raising into the sky, I’m positive it would have been from this patch.
I can only imagine the garden of earthly delights it must seem when seen through the eyes of my children. Every corner, nook, and cranny has been taken into consideration and the whole place is filled to bursting with the wonders of fall, harvest, and Halloween. Throw in an apple orchard, petting zoo, kiddy train, pumpkin tree, donut shop, hot dog stand, caramel apple pie, corn maze, wagon rides, apple cider, and every type of pumpkin, squash, or gourd conceivable and it’s guaranteed to send any kid over the moon. I’m not sure mine have quite recovered…
