Tomorrow hubs and I are celebrating an annual tradition - our friend Judith’s fabulous soup party and mug exchange.
Judith is one of those amazing cooks who can make a feast out of anything - you know the kind I mean? Don’t bother falling in love with what she makes because you’ll never get it again. She doesn’t use recipes or cookbooks or measuring cups and everything she makes tastes like ambrosia. (I’m getting hungry just writing this)
Here’s the scoop. Everyone gathers at her lovely home where she has prepared a plethora of culinary masterpieces - a seemingly endless parade of soups. Each person brings their own mug and the tasting begins. Any person can swap mugs with anyone else at any time. The whole point is to leave with a different mug than you came with - and to bring the most coveted mug of all. That’ll win you a prize.
Now you know that I can be just the teensiest bit competitive… Last year I didn’t win with a very cool artsy mug so this year I’ve gone a different route.

Introducing the Pessimist’s Mug from Despair Inc. Perhaps not the coolest looking mug but what it lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in cleverness.
I think I’ve got a sure winner this time. I’ll let you know how it goes…

Oooh - now that’s the kind of party I could go to and actually enjoy! YUM! I also like the mug choice - I know I would want it!
