All around the internet other mamas are posting their lavish Thanksgiving menus.
What about mine? Well, if you’ve been reading this for a while, you’ll know that when it comes to me and the kitchen… let’s face it - COOKING, I’M JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU! And I think the feeling is mutual.
I’ve tried, but after years of disappointed guests, burnt dinners, and crushed hopes, I finally accepted that the relationship was toxic and needed to end. So now when it comes to Thanksgiving Dinner, my hubs (who LOVES to cook, bless his heart) insists that I add my support to the feast by staying out of the kitchen altogether.
We’ve developed a little ritual where my “assignment” is to keep people smiling and (for the adults) the libations flowing… the two tend to go hand-in-hand.
As many of you know, my favorite cocktail is hands down the classic Perfect Martini. It’s the most transcendent elixir you’ll ever encounter - a truly religious experience.
But since its Thanksgiving, I thought I’d go with something seasonal and try Apple Martinis. I even went out and bought new martini glasses for the occasion. Take a peek and you’ll understand why I’m in love!
So, in honor of all the Thanksgiving Day recipes being offered, here’s mine…
Apple Martini
With sour apple liqueur
2 oz. Vodka
1½ oz. Bols sour apple liqueur
½ oz. Lemon juice
Apple slice for garnish
Pour ingredients into mixing glass. Add ice and stir to chill. Strain into your Swanky Martini Glass and garnish.
Repeat as needed…

home made stuffing. cranberry sauce and stuffed mushrooms…not traditional but what the heck..
suits me…and we will buy desert..and no wine this year…your perfect martini
